August 1, 2020 (Khartoum) Sudan’s Transitional Cabinet has  welcomed
the assurances of the US administration to remove Sudan from the
American list of state sponsors of terrorism.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reiterated to the Congressional
Foreign Affairs Committee yesterday, Thursday, the desire of the US
administration to remove Sudan from the American list of state
sponsors of terrorism.In a statement today, Saturday, the Council of Ministers of Sudan
lauded Pompeo’s invitation to support the opportunity of democratic
transformation in Sudan and build a democratic state, which would lead
to the emergence of similar opportunities at the regional level.

Sudan’s has expressed its readiness to continue to work with the US
administration in removing Sudan from the list of countries that
sponsor terrorism and entering into a partnership that benefit both
countries.

For his part, Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk affirmed the
Sudanese government’s commitment to continue efforts with all friends
in the United States and abroad to close this file and completely
reabsorb Sudan in the international community.
