August 23, 2020 (Khartoum) The envoy of the State of Qatar for peace talks in Juba, Mutlaq bin Majid Al-Qahtani expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the negotiations of the Sudanese transitional
government and the armed struggle movements,  saying  that they would lead to a peace agreement in the near future.

However, negotiations of the government and the movements began in Juba, last September, with separate tracks, the first for the Revolutionary Front Alliance, and a track for the popular movement,
the Abdel Aziz Al-Helou faction.

Qahtani’s statements came during his meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdok today, Sunday, at his office in the Council of minister, in the presence of Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Ambassador Omar Bashir Manis, and Minister-designate Dr. Omar Qamar al-Din.

The envoy of the State of Qatar,conveyed to Hamdok,  the greetings of the Qatari leadership, and informed him of the progress of the talks hosted by Juba, the capital of the State of South Sudan.

For his part, the Prime Minister expressed his greetings to the sisterly State of Qatar, and thanked Al-Qahtani for the visit, which he said strengthens the bonds of friendship and brotherhood between the two brotherly countries
