September 21, 2020 (Khartoum) ICC Prosecutor has requested the Pre-Trial Chamber to postpone the hearing of Koshyib case to the middle of next year, instead of next December 7
.The request, which was seen by Darfur 24, was based on Rule 121 (7)of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence, provided that Pre-Trial Chamber II postpones the date of the confirmation hearing from
December 7, 2020 to June 1, 2021.
The Prosecutor’s Office justified the postponement request after a thorough assessment of the relevant factors made it clear to the Prosecution that it would not be able to adequately perform its legal duties towards the defense or victims and witnesses.
