June 30, 2021 Nyala- South Darfur State Security Committee has deployed joint forces on all the main roads leading to the center of the state capital, Nyala, in anticipation of violent protests on the 30th of June.  Darfur24 correspondent from Nyala city monitored the complete closure of the city’s big market, while young people gathered on the main road that passes north of the stadium and the grand mosque to Nyala cinema, while young people burned tires and chanted slogans against the government.  Meanwhile, government forces deployed on the roads prevented vehicles from passing into the vicinity of the Great Market, and forced motorists to take other routes away from the city center and the market.   The State Security Committee decided in an emergency meeting on Tuesday, to close the big market from eight in the morning to four in the afternoon, and the committee justified its decision to preserve the lives and property of citizens, in anticipation of violence in the processions of Wednesday, June 30.
