Khartoum, Feb 12(Darfur24) Troika, Canada, Switzerland and the European Union condemned, on Thursday, the campaign of arrests launched by the security authorities against a number of political leaders.
They condemned harassment and intimidation by the leaders of the military coup, and demanded that they fulfill their pledges to respect human rights and ensure the safety of detainees.
The Troika confirmed, Thursday, in a statement, that the practice of harassment and intimidation by the military authorities contradicts its pledge to participate in a facilitating path to resolve the political crisis and return to the democratic transition.
The Troika statement called on the authorities to lift the state of emergency, end such behavior and immediately release arbitrary detained prisoners .
