El-Geniena, April 24 (Darfur24) The Executive Director of El Geneina Locality, the capital of West Darfur State, issued Sunday a local order to close El Geneina’s market as a precaution against the repercussions of the events of the city of Kirenak spreading to the state capital El Geneina.

The Executive Director of El Geneina Locality, Dr. Khalil Hamid Daqarshaw, said that the decision he issued comes to enhance public safety and tranquility, to preserve security, and to precaution against the repercussions of the events that took place in the Karinak area.

The local decree stipulates that the markets will be closed from six in the evening until six in the morning, and violators are threatened with imprisonment for a period of 3 months and a fine of 200,000 pounds.

The decision directed the local security committee and its various security services to take the necessary measures to implement this order.
