Khartoum, May 9(Darfur24) Army spokesperson Brigadier General Nabil Abdullah revealed the completion of the procedures for absorbing 80 officers from the Darfur track movements, which signed the Juba Agreement within the security arrangement..

 

In a statement to Darfur 24, Abdullah said that the movement’s officers will be transferred to the city of Jibet in eastern Sudan to receive training.

The Juba Peace Agreement in October 2020 was signed by seven movements on the Darfur track, in addition to the popular movement, led by Malik Agar.

The file of security arrangements exposed pitfalls, and the signatories to the Juba Agreement and the army exchanged accusations.

Addressing worshipers  on Eid celebration day ,Deputy chairman of the Sovereignty Council  Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo said  the two parties do not trust each other.

The Spokesman indicated that about 2,000 soldiers and non-commissioned officers from five movements in the Darfur track have reached the final stages of the training, which lasts 90 days and ends at the end of this May.
