Khartoum, June 9(Darfur24) The Forces for Freedom and Change FFC, the
Central Council, revealed on Thursday that the military component
heldin an informal meeting after US-Saudi mediation.
The former ruling coalition refused to sit with the soldiers following
the army’s coup against the transitional authority on October 25.
On Wednesday, the first sessions of the direct national dialogue were
launched under the auspices of the tripartite mechanism, to try to
find a solution to the political crisis in the country.
And according to a statement from the coalition, posted on its
Facebook page, this evening, at the invitation of the US Assistant
Secretary of State for African Affairs Molly V and the ambassador of
the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Sudan, an informal meeting will be held
between a delegation of freedom and change and the military component.
The statement added that the meeting deals with the procedures for
ending the October 25, 2021 coup and all its consequences, handing
over power to civilians, and the immediate implementation of all the
benefits of creating a democratic climate, without exception.
