Khartoum, July 14(Darfur24) The Emergency Lawyers Committee revealed that 4 rape complaints were filed  in the police departments against individuals affiliated with the Central Reserve Forces.

 

Member of the Emergency Lawyers Committee, lawyer Rehab Mubarak, told Darfur 24 that the committee had documented 30 incidents of rape since the October 25 coup, only 4 against individuals affiliated with the Central Reserve Forces were reported to  police .

 

Al-Mubarak indicated that despite the reporting  of these cases and the presentation of witnesses, the police have not arrested the perpetrators so far.

 

The Director of the Unit for Combating Violence against Women, Salima Ishaq, revealed to Darfur 24 that 3 cases of gang rape have been documented since October 25, 2 of which occurred for two girls on December 19 and another last March, which was the victim of an 18-year-old girl who fell near the Maslamiya bridge, in addition to 20 cases of harassment.
