Nyala, July 31(Darfur24) Police in the state of South Darfur, western Sudan, announced this morning, the arrest the suspects  accused of killing the 41-year-old IDP, Abdul Rahman Abdul Majeed Abdullah, who was killed last Wednesday and his vehicle  was looted in the Ander area of Marshing locality, 20 km north of Nyala.

 

The Executive Director of Nyala locality, Abu Sufyan, Abdullah Muhammad, said during his address to the police forces that efforts led to reach the 4 suspects in the Damma area , and investigations are underway with them, and the car will be brought today.

Abdul Rahman lives in the Otash camp for the displaced, 5 km northeast of the city, and works as a taxi driver on the Nyala-Manwashi road.

 

One of the relatives of the dead man, Muhammad Adam, told Darfur 24 that eyewitnesses said that two people lured the victim from the “Dama” area 45 kilometers north of Nyala while he was standing to transport passengers to the city of Nyala, and asked him to go with them to the Ander area to rescue a woman in case of childbirth to Nyala.

 

After they insisted on him, he agreed to go with them, and after they reached the area, according to witnesses, a person was waiting for them on a motorbike. A hail of bullets fired at him, killing him on the spot. They seized the car and fled to an unknown destination.
