El-fashir,November 28(Darfur24) Three people were wounded and more than a “thousand” head of livestock were looted in an armed attack on a number of villages near the Marazal area 126 km west of Al -Fasher, the capital of North Darfur.

Eyewitnesses told Darfur 24 that gunmen on the back of camels launched an attack on the villages of Kosa, , Kabro”, south of the Marazal area in the early hours of Sunday morning, which resulted in the injury of three people, and the attackers managed to loot 2000 head of sheep and goats.

 A resident from the attacked  villages ,Adam issa,  explained that the after the  perpetrators attack on the villages ,they informed the local authorities of the incident, but they did not respond immediately, and indicated that the perpetrator drove the  livestock  to the east.

Local community leaders in the Marazal area warned last Friday against the exacerbation of the security situation in the neighboring areas of the East Jabal Marra, after the recent armed confrontations that broke out between armed factions supported by the coup government and the Sudan Liberation Forces led by Abdel Wahed Nour in Jabal Marra.
