Khartoum, April 24(Darfur24) Today, Tuesday, a new truce  between the army and the Rapid Support Forces RSF  entered into force. The truce, which was agreed upon ,under US auspices, will last for three days.

 

The United States of America announced that a new truce had been reached in Sudan for a period of 72 hours, starting from midnight Monday to Tuesday.

 

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said in a statement that the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces agreed to implement a nationwide ceasefire that begins at midnight on April 24 and lasts 72 hours.

 

During this time, Blinken added, “the United States calls upon both sides to immediately and fully implement the ceasefire.”
