Nyala, June 8( Darfur24) Gunmen stormed Wednesday warehouses of South Darfur ministry of health in Nyala, but they couldn’t loot anything.
Information and public relations manager of South Darfur ministry of health ,Hassan Hamid said 12 armed men stormed Wednesday the ministry of health warehouses in Nyala, after breaking the main gate in an attempt to loot the assets , but the rapid support forces which was tasked with the protection of a nearby Nyala power station intervened and pushed them away..
Government and private institutions as well as markets and the main medical supplies of Darfur States in Nyala were looted, ransacked and damaged by armed looters and residents from neighbouring residential areas..
Addressing a gathering during her visit to the ministry’s warehouses, South Darfur minister of health Rihab Algaan lauded RSF affiliates for the efforts they exerted to protect the ministry’s warehouses from looting, ransacking, and damage..
