Yusra Mahmoud from the city of Nyala told Darfur 24 that her friend was killed Tuesday as a result of a shell that killed seven people, including three children, and wounded 11 while they were taking shelter in a concrete house in the Khartoum Baleyal neighborhood at , in the northern part of the city.

Meanwhile, a medical source at the Al-Wahda neighborhood health center, southwest of the city, confirmed that more than 35 injured people had admitted to the health center, some of them in serious condition and requiring urgent surgical intervention.

The source told Darfur 24 that the hospital urgently needs medicines and medical supplies after they ran out medicines and resorted to the buying medical supplies from the black market, revealing that a number of the injured died due to shortage of emergency medicines and “blood thinners” at a time when the price of each medicine reached 20 thousand pounds.

According to a number of eyewitnesses who spoke to Darfur 24, the neighborhoods of Khartoum Belil, Alsad Al Aly , and Al-Kango, north of the city alone, witnessed the killing of more than 24 residents, while more than 7 others were killed in the neighborhoods of Al-Nahda, Al-Darwa, and Al-Salam, west of the city, and more than 6 people were killed in the Al-Jir neighborhood adjacent to the command of the 16th Infantry Division.
