February 22,2020 (Khartoum) The tripartite committee for monitoring  the cessation of hostilities and the provision of humanitarian assistance in Blue Nile State, has launched its work from within the SPLM-N-Agar stronghold.

The committee   started   in the presence of the leader of the Popular Movement, Comrade Commander Malik Aqar, members of the regional government, Commander of the Second Front, Operations Leader  as well as  local organizations.

Spokesman for the Tripartite  monitoring committee , Fateih al-Bashir, said in a statement extended to Darfur 24n that auspicious atmosphere of peace prevailed in the meeting, revealing that the agreement  between the two parties will  facilitate the movement of citizens, and the establishment of common markets to sever the ties that were cut off between the two parties during the years of war.

For his part,  head of  SPLM-N Malik Agar, praised the Sudanese army for its prowess, focusing  on the urgent and necessary humanitarian  needs of the displaced people.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the government and SPLM-N-Agar army met to coordinate and facilitate the passage of humanitarian aid and organize movement of civilians.

The Sudanese government and SPLM-N-Agar Signed late January, an agreement on general principles, political arrangements, governance for the two regions, as well as issues related to arrangements for the provision of humanitarian assistance, cessation of hostilities, security arrangements and other issues.
