31.12.2021 (El-Fashir) Member of the Sovereignty Council, Al-Hadi Idris, condemned, on Friday, the attack on Al-Hadath TV channel office in Khartoun and the excessive use of force against peaceful demonstrators, calling on the police to reveal the identity of the assailants to public opinion.
Security forces fired tear gas and stun grenades while protesters marched in Khartoum and the neighboring cities of Omdurman and Bahri towards the presidential palace.
Idris also denounced attacks on WFP premises and government institutions in El Fasher,North Darfur.
He directed the State Security Committee to form a fact-finding committee to uncover those who planned and executed such attacks on WPF warehouses.
