El-Geneina, October 3(Darfur24) Government authorities in El Geneina, the capital of West Darfur state, arrested 11 people, including members of the security forces, accused of being involved in counterfeiting currency
A widely counterfeited currency of 1000-500 pounds have been spread in the city of El-Geneina and other scattered areas.
The Executive Director of El Geneina locality, Khalil Hamid Daqarsho, told Darfur 24 that the government authorities had formed a security force to follow up on the spread of counterfeit miney.
He added, the security force arrested 11 people accused of being involved in money counterfeiting.
Meanwhile, Darfur24 learned from informed sources that the suspects who were arrested include members of the security forces.
